LONDON - Joseph Cyril Clancy, 92 of East Bernstadt, KY, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at his residence. He is survived by five children, Joseph L. Clancy and wife Karen of Lexington, KY, Timothy Clancy of Lexington, KY, Deborah Garrison and husband Vance of London, KY, Linda Strange of East Bernstadt, KY, John Clancy and wife Sherry, also of East Bernstadt, KY; three sisters, Geraldine Jenkins of Lexington, KY, Zehra Rawe of California, Patricia Barkley of Lexington, KY; thirteen grandchildren, Amy Stokes, Michael Clancy, Emily Clancy, Kylie Whipple, David Waters, Christopher Clancy, Anthony Newton, Matthew Newton, Sarah Ellis, Rachel Johnson, Amanda Strange, Stephanie Strange, Angel Clancy; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Freeda Clancy; his parents, John C. and Nettie Colbert Clancy; three sisters, Mary Colbert Bricken, Kathryn Bieschke, Rose Ann Rawe; and two brothers, Louis and Thomas Clancy. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from August 20, 1942 September 14, 1945. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, April 29, 2013 at 11am in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Father Patrick Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in East Bernstadt, KY. The family of Joseph Cyril Clancy will receive friends after 6pm on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at House-Rawlings Funeral Home.

My Uncle Joe was a sweet, kind man who loved his family. My Mom liked to tell the story of how the toddler Joseph would order "four farts" of milk from the milkman. Peace to all.
