Doris C. Barber, 86, wife to Donald, died on Friday, September 14, 2018 at her home. She was born on November 20, 1931 in Georgetown, Kentucky to the late Julian Cracraft and Margaret Wilson Cracraft Hall. Doris was a member of Highlands Baptist Church since 1960, a member of Women on Missions, a choir member for over fifty years, member of Everybody's Sunday School Class, and a graduate of Great Crossing High School. She enjoyed reading and crafts, and was an avid U.K. and Cincinnati Reds fan. Doris was a wonderful cook and seamstress. Along with her husband, she is survived by daughters, Donna Hardin of Louisville, Kentucky, Sharon (David) Clark of Stamping Ground, Kentucky, and Tina (Stan) Justice of Georgetown, Kentucky, grandchildren, Bry Hardin of Louisville, Kentucky, Matt Hardin of Simpsonville, Kentucky, Julie Tackett of Stamping Ground, Kentucky, Mary Beth Stubenrauch of Khonkan, Thailand, Amanda Justice and Tyler Justice, both of Georgetown, Kentucky, and 15 great grandchildren. Doris was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Gary Hardin. Funeral service will be 11am, Monday, September 17, 2018 at Highlands Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Stanhope and Rev. Brian Stubenrauch officiating. Visitation will be from 5pm-9pm Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery, with the following serving as pallbearers, Matt Hardin, Bry Hardin, Tyler Justice, Matthew Tackett, Stan Justice, and David Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be Highlands' Deacons and Trustees. Memorial donations may be sent to, Highlands Baptist Church Building Fund, 2032 Parallel Road, Lexington, KY 40511 and Bluegrass Hospice Care, 1317 US Highway 62E, Cynthiana, Kentucky 41031.
