Juanita Ruth Sargent, 88, widow of William L. Sargent, Sr., passed away, Tuesday, August 7, 2018 in Georgetown, Kentucky. She was born November 16, 1929 in Scott County, Kentucky to the late Thomas and Margaret E. Lynn Ruth. Juanita was a member of Great Crossing Baptist Church, former church treasurer, former chairperson of the Hospitality Committee, and a current member of the WMU. She was formerly employed with Kentucky Road Oiling, Inc., Lair & Oldham, and retired from Scott County Circuit Clerk's office. She graduated from Garth High School and Fugazzi Business College. Juanita loved and followed her children and grandchildren in all their sports endeavors; including her grandson's Western Kentucky University Golf Team and her granddaughter's Kentucky Youth Quarter Horse Association. She was also an avid Kentucky Basketball fan. Juanita is survived by her sons, Bennie Tom (Cheryllee) Sargent of Paris, Kentucky and Billy Sargent of Georgetown, Kentucky, daughter, Lynne Sargent of Georgetown, Kentucky, 2 grandchildren, Billy Tom Sargent and Sydney L. Sargent, and special friend, Leslie Kenner. She is preceded in death by brothers, Marvin Ruth, Tommy Ruth, and Jack Ruth, and sisters, Edna Ruth, and Ruby Ruth. Services will be 11am Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral Home with Dr. Ray Roach and Rev. Ben Perkins officiating. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Billy Tom Sargent, Jackie Ruth, David Ruth, Darby Ruth, Ben Allen Sargent, Charles Michael Ritchie, Corky Grant, and Terry Kenley. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Miller, David B. Glass, Leonard Ruth, Bob Portwood, John Fitch, David Porter, and Dr. Ben Lyon. Visitation will be 5-8pm Friday, August 10, 2018 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Great Crossing Baptist Church Building Fund, 1061 Stamping Ground Road, Georgetown, Kentucky 40324.
