STAMPING GROUND - Justin Mark Jones, 33, husband of Alison Lyons Jones and father of Mark Alvin Jones, passed away Tue, Nov 25, 2014. Born in Cynthiana, KY, he was the son of Rita Traylor Jones, Georgetown, and Charles Francis Jones, Harrison County. An HVAC Technician with Scott County Schools, he was also a farmer and active member of the Scott County FFA Alumni. An avid hunter, he was a member and Trustee of Long Lick Baptist Church as well as a member of the Kentucky Truck Tuggers Association. In addition to his wife, son and parents, he is survived by his sister, Jennifer (Michael Doug) Harvey; in-laws, Alvin and Debbie Lyons; brother-in-law, James (Julie) Lyons; grandmother-in-law, Betty Kelly; as well as 10 nieces and nephews; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Howard C. and Jean Traylor, Charlie and Christine Jones; his wife's grandparents, Walker Kelly and Lloyd and Fay Lyons; step father, Ray Sharpe; uncle, Howard W. Traylor; wife's aunts, Nancy Kelly and Connie Wise; and special friend, Scott Ballard. Funeral services will be 10am Sat at Elkhorn Crossing School (2001 Frankfort Pike), conducted by Bro. Glenn Redmon. Casket bearers will be Adam Cash, John Carter III, Josh Roark, Joseph Winer, Greg Traylor, Dwight M. Offutt and David Kidwell. Honorary casket bearers will be the Kentucky Truck Tuggers, Scott County FFA Alumni, Joe (Tammy) Traylor, Gary (Joy) Kelly, Rodney Kelly, Karen Kelly, Michael Wise and Woodie Leavell. Visitation will be 4-8pm Fri at Elkhorn Crossing School. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Scott County FFA Alumni Scholarship Fund or Long Lick Baptist Church.
