I was shocked to hear of Mick's death. I was on vacation. I just saw him walking 2 days before I left. He was such a happy and generous man. Had a very generous concern for the elderly.

To the Jadin Family
So sorry to hear about the unexpected loss of Mick. As many of us know he was such a fixture in so many of the sports programs in Kewaunee, whether it was youth leagues or high school sports he was always there it seemed like in attendance.
For me he was an inspirational coach who first talked me into running cross country as a freshman which I knew nothing about. The first race I ran I ended up winning the JV cross country race. Without him we probably would have never had a cross country team! He coached me as a distance runner the best he knew how. He so often drove us around to races or events just so we could compete even though we did not have enough guys for a full team.
He helped coach so many wonderful athletes through the years as well. During the off season he would drive us around to races just so we could compete because our parents were unable to take the time off. He was always so friendly and social to so many people in the Kewaunee Community. I want to express our deepest sympathy on behalf of my sisters who he also helped coach, Mary, Maureen and Melissa.
He will be dearly missed

My deepest sympathies to Mick's family. He was my track coach all 4 years of high school. Always a nice friendly guy. I had the pleasure of working with him and seeing him after being gone from the Kewaunee area for 25 years when our class had our reunion at Birchwood in 2007. So sorry for your loss.

To the Jadin Family,
There are never enough words to express the sympathy at the loss of family member, however maybe a memorable moment might be appropriate here.
Mick, always a member of the Holy Rosary Parish and I sat down one night and talked about starting a basketball program at Holy Rosary.
Listening to Mick that night he was convinced we could do this and we did.
I am not sure many know this or might remember but Mick was the "first" basketball coach for Holy Rosary. I took over the reigns the next year and kept it going for the next four years.
Working with parishiners who wanted to see the program grow we collected enough funding to start the program. I believe to this day they still may have a program at Holy Rosary.
That was Mick, always looking to make sure kids had an opportunity to play and he so loved instructing, coaching, or coming up with ideas to make sure our kids had the best.
It wasn't that Mick was gifted, it was that Mick was God's gift to Kewaunee.
Sincerely,
David Augustine and Family
