SNOW HILL - Mrs. Rebecca "Becky" Pollock Wade, 65, passed away Friday morning, August 10, 2018, at her residence. Born on Christmas day, 1952, she was the daughter of the late, Harold Gordon Pollock and Sadie Hardy Pollock and was reared in the Jason Community. Following high school, Becky attended Atlantic Christian College graduating with a degree in education. Becky taught briefly before joining her husband in their business Wade Tire Service. The birth of her first grandchild, Calyn, rendered Becky a retirement from the business and into her cherished role as a grandmother. Becky was a member of Hull Road Original Free Will Baptist Church. Becky is survived by her husband, Rand "Randy" Winston Wade, Jr.; children, Rebecca Wade of Princeton and Will Wade of LaGrange; grandchildren, Calyn Taylor of the home and Mary Faith Gray of Snow Hill; a brother, Harold G. "Harry" Pollock, Jr. and wife Lynda of Raleigh; mother-in-law, Carol P. Wade of Snow Hill; brother-in-law, Jeff Wade and wife Betty Jo, of Snow Hill; and nephews and niece, Mark Pollock, Bryan Pollock, Beth Wade Relyea, and Giles Wade. Additionally, her dear friends and care givers, Barbara Sugg and Diane Strickland. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 12, at Hull Road OFWB Church with the Reverend Leon Grubbs officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church's Family Life Center and other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hull Road OFWB Church Foreign Missions Fund, 3984 Hull Road, Snow Hill, NC, 28580.
