Donald James Tysver Obituary
Donald James Tysver

Seattle, WA

Don was born in Sisseton, SD to Donald W. Tysver and Jessie J. Myers Tysver, the second of six children. Don is survived by his two sisters, Stacie Larson (Herb), Olympia, and Lois Fox, Bremerton and three brothers, Gerald Tysver, Lakeland, FL, Frank Tysver, Seattle, and David Tysver (Floretta) of Vacaville, CA. plus fourteen nieces and nephews and their families. Preceding in death were both parents, and one nephew, Jeff Larson of Lacey, WA.

Don's childhood days were spent in Minnesota, where he was baptized in the Methodist Church. He graduated from Bremerton High School, Olympic College, and the University of Washington. Upon graduating from the UW in 1962, Don was drafted into the army, spending most of his two years in the army in Germany. Later Don spent a year in Saudi Arabia, doing accounting for a private business, before returning to Seattle, to work for various other Seattle firms as head accountant.

A bachelor, he had great compassion for the poor and homeless. The bulk of his estate, will be divided between the Salvation Army of Seattle and Northwest Harvest of Seattle. Any memorial should be sent to either of these worthwhile charities.
