Oh Joanie. I will miss you so very much. I know you knew how much I loved you, but I wish had gotten to say it one last time. The world isn't the same without you in it.

Thank all of you for sharing your memories and condolences. My sister, Joan was a shining star who occupied this planet for a brief time with the rest of us mere mortals. She was a loving daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, and friend to so many. We will miss her beautiful smile, her sense of humor, her sarcasm (yes, we have the gene) and her sparkling wit.

I have lost my sister, and though it is very hard, memories of her are very vivid and everlasting. The love of our friends and family sustains me.

I worked with Joan many years ago in California. She was a beautiful friend and mentor. We were mutual foodies and loved a great bottle of wine to accompany any dish. Love you Joan, until we meet again.
