Daniel Foronda Ramos
Jan. 3, 1930 to Nov. 27, 2018
On Tuesday, November 27th 2018 Daniel Foronda Ramos, of Bremerton, age 88, passed from this world to be with our Lord.
Daniel was born on January 3rd, 1930 in Manila, Philippines to Trinidad Foronda Ramos and León Ramos; their third child. After the death of his father early in World War II, Daniel left school and spent his youth working for the American forces to support his family. After the war worked odd jobs driving taxis, operating heavy equipment, and acting as a handy-man before he earned an electrician's certification and began to work at the PhilAm Life Auditorium until his retirement in the mid-1990s.
In 1955 he married Teresita Bito- on, with whom he enjoyed 40 years of marriage and had five children.
After the passing of his wife Teresita, Daniel moved to the United States to live with his daughter Elizabeth Klise and her family in 2003. He spent his retirement continuing to work as a handyman, willing to help his friends and family for nothing more than conversation.
Daniel's children and grandchildren will remember him as a happy and eccentric man who loved to dance, drink, invent, and tell outlandish stories. He was also a devout lifelong Catholic and a member of Our lady Star of the Sea Parish in Bremerton.
Daniel is preceded in death by his parents, five siblings, his wife Teresita Ramos, and his son Danilo Ramos. He is survived by his sisters Isabelita Espiritú and Leonila Adrales, daughters Marlene Tenorio, Elizabeth Klise, Rosemarie Ramos, Shirley Benzon and son Allan Leo Ramos, grandchildren Anthony Tenorio, Angelo Tenorio, Angelique Tenorio, Kenrick Ramos, Kidwell Ramos, Bernice Klise, Shayna Benzon, and Shaun Benzon, as well as four great-grandchildren.
