Alex "Bucaroo" McMillan, III of Knoxville Tennessee, born on August 1, 1930 in Knoxville, Tennessee, to the late Dorothy M McMillan and the late Alex McMillan II, passed away at age 87 on June 9, 2018. From 1950 to 1954, Alex served in the Air Force in Selma Alabama. He worked at Aetna for 50 years as an Insurance Executive. Alex was the beloved husband of Bernadette H McMillan. He was preceded in death by his sister, Annette McGhee and twin brother Herbert H. McMillan. They were the first set of twins born at St.Mary's Hospital. Alex is survived by his sons, Alex Mc Millan lV and wife Carolyn, David A McMillan, and Christopher H McMillan and wife Landis; daughters, Marci Brien and husband Christopher Brien and Julie McMillan; grandchildren, Cristen Sizemore and husband Kevin, Alexa McMillan, Caleb Brien and wife Mahala, Spencer Brien, Jordan McMillan, and Claire McMillan; and friends, Bonnie Carver, Cheryl Ellis, Kalin Smith, Amy Edgar and Kelly Smith. He was a member of Knights of Columbus and he was a past Exalted Ruler of Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge #160. Friends and family are welcome to attend the visitation on Friday, June 15 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel 1421 N. Broadway, Knoxville, TN 37917. Rosary will immediately follow. Funeral Mass will be conducted 10:00 am Saturday, June 16, at Immaculate Conception Church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to of Knoxville, 5801 Kingston Pike, Knoxville TN 37919 and Young Williams Animal Center 3201 Division St. Knoxville TN 37919.
