Evelyn D. French, 84, of Knoxville, stepped onto the streets of Gold with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Friday, July 6, 2018.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lillian and Clarence Ray (Bud) Julian; grandparents, Ruby Lee and Clarence Earl Julian. She "Nona" was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who is survived by Fred French, her loving husband of over 66 years; her daughter and son-in-law Monica (Monty) and Terry Carter; her son and daughter-in-law Nick and Janice French; and her daughter Wendy French Lane. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren include, Eric and Miranda French, parents of Hayden and Holden French; Scott and Kristen Carter, parents of Kate and Mia Carter; Ashleigh Lane, mother of Maddax Hensley; Monica and Jay Cooper, parents of Nolan Cooper. She will be missed by numerous family and friends including Janie Simpson, Gene French, Luretta Nauman, and her loving cousins Jo Thress and daughter Lisa Smith. The family would like to extend special thanks to Miranda French, Dr. Michael Ayres, Dr. Christian Stauber and the nursing staff who cared for our Nona.

Pallbearers will be Eric French, Hayden French, Holden French, Scott Carter, Jay Cooper and Max Smith.

Honorary pallbearers will be Maddax Hensley, Nolan Cooper, Matthew Allen and Noah Allen.

The family will receive friends at Bridges Funeral Home, 5430 Rutledge Pike on Wednesday, July 11th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a funeral service to follow. The family will gather on Thursday, July 12th at 10:45 p.m. for a 11 am service, at Greenwood Cemetery, 3500 Tazewell Pike for graveside services. All services will be officiated by Reverend Paul Owens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lea Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 25, Blaine, TN 37709.
