Joe Nesbitt Ferguson

Joe Nesbitt Ferguson, age 51, passed away on October 14, 2018, in Nashville. Joe was of the Christian Faith. He served in the Tennessee National Guard for 9 years. Joe was an avid golfer and loved his time coaching little league baseball and basketball for his boys...he was known as "Coach Joe". Joe graduated from Loudon High School in 1985 and earned his BS degree from Tennessee Tech. He worked for the Department of Health for the State of Tennessee for 24 years. Joe was preceded in death by his father, Jack Ferguson, Jr; grandparents, Len and Jack Ferguson, Sr., and Joe and Gladys Nesbitt; aunts, June Nesbitt Flatt, JoAnn Nesbitt Copeland, Sarah Nesbitt; and uncles, Ray Ben Nesbitt and Mark Ferguson. Joe is survived by his sons, Troy James and Brock Nesbitt; mother, Bonnie Ferguson; brothers, Dave Ferguson and his wife, Kristi, Brad Ferguson; aunts, Alva Atherton and Kaylen Ferguson Scott, uncles, Dr. William P. Flatt, and Richard Copeland; niece, Valerie Ferguson; nephew, Hayden Ferguson; Kim Ewing, mother of his sons; several cousins; and many lifelong friends. A celebration of life service will be held 10am Saturday at McGill Click Funerals and Cremations with Rev. Mark Hester, officiating. Private family burial will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
