When I lived in Knoxville, a night out with friends or a hungry late night could only be satiated with a trip to Vic and Bill's. The best food and the kind hospitality of Bill. We were lucky to have his dedicated service in Knoxville.

Cannot forget Bill slaving over that flat top cooking breakfast at 3am sweat dripping down on the food. Best breakfast and Turkey and cheese anywhere. Vic and Bills was the best. Miss those days on The Hill. RIP Bill you are a legend at UT.

I have so many memories of Bill. I worked for him at several of his Time Outs when I was young. He was always so good to me, treated me like a daughter. Gave me good advise . He even bought me a dress when I was invited somewhere and didn't have the money to get it myself. He was such a loving caring man. I have seen him give hundreds of sandwiches out the back door to the homeless and hungry people, May God give you many blessings and bliss Bill. I know I will see you again. Sherry, I am so very, very sorry for your loss. I know how hard this will be for you. I am sorry I could not be at the service I was out of town . Just got home and found out about Bill. I will pray for you. Love you and Bill.
Martha Taylor ("Perfect's sister) Bobby I am sorry for you too. I know how much you love Bill

This man was legend to thousands of young people who populated the Cumberland Avenue/Fort Sanders area. He provided a space for the freaks, frats, jocks, LGBGTQ, and anyone else who had a hunger for the fellowship that could be found in a steamed sandwich. Rest In Peace, Bill. You will be missed by many, many people whose lives you touched with your food and your spirit.
