Edie taught school at Burtonwood Air Force Base in England and Giffin Elementary School in Knoxville. She then enjoyed a long career as a Tupperware Manager, holding parties all over East Tennessee, winning many awards, and making many friends. She loved singing and supporting barbershop music. In later years, she volunteered at Baptist Hospital and Tennova South, organized many outings and reunions with her various circles of friends at cherished places such as Christmount and Whitestone Country Inn, and helped restore the Lady Vols name and logo for all sports.
