Scott Douglas Ault

Knoxville - Ault, Scott Douglas, age 62, of Knoxville, TN passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021. Scott was a 1978 graduate of Gibbs High School and retired employee of 37 years from TDOT. He worked in the Materials & Test division. Scott was the father of three beautiful girls, and he was extremely proud of each of them. He was grandfather to Addy, who called him her "Tataw". Scott loved his mother dearly. He would check on her multiple times throughout the day and visit her most every day. Scott enjoyed playing golf and driving his new Camaro, hanging with his friends at Beaver Brook Golf Course, and also enjoyed watching Tiger Woods play. Scott also adored and cherished his time with his 2 year old Goldendoodle, Cash. He was the most loyal companion and followed on Scott's heels every minute of the day.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, James Ault. He is survived by his three daughters, Heather Michelle Barker and husband, Chris, Haley Renee Ault, and Caitlin Noelle Ault; special granddaughter, Addy Hope Barker; his Goldendoodle, Cash; mother, Viva Ault; sister and brother-in-law, Terri and Bobby Hall; niece, Leah Scott and nephew, Jake Hall.

Family and friends may come to pay their respects Wednesday, April 7th between the hours of 12pm to 7pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home. Graveside service will take place Thursday, April 8th meeting at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home at 2:30pm for procession to Greenwood Cemetery on Tazewell Pike with interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to First Tee of Greater Knoxville at

Scooter and I worked together at Three Ridges for many years. Not only that we played golf every Sunday with his Dad and Howard Russell in past years He was a good friend and lots of fun to be around. He was the king of practical jokes. He will be missed.--- Barry Wasilew
