William Franklin "Bayby" Martin- departed this life, March 14, 2018 at U. T. Hospital. Born December 2, 1936, to the union of Raymond and Isabelle Chandler Martin in Knoxville, TN.
Member of Bethel AME Church.
Member of Green Turf Golf Club.
Preceded in death by wife, Sylvia Christine Buford Martin; brothers, Raymond, Walter, Herman and Clayton Martin; sister, Betty Minor; devoted friend, Clifford Curry.
Survivors, son, William (Audrey) Martin Jr.; grandsons, William Martin III, Troy Martin, Elijah Ray; granddaughters, Foreva Martin, Raegan Gray Martin, Kyra Haney; great granddaughter, Raylynn Martin; sister, Modestine "Peggie" Cunningham Martin; mother-in-law, Bobbie Buford; nephews, Richard Hardin, Clifford Cunningham, Terry Martin, Ruben and Rufus Tipton, Lonnie, Jeffrey Minor and Terry Minor, Kenya Ladd; niece, Gloria Tipton; devoted friends, John "Binky" Bourne, Cadillac Kyle; other relatives and friends too numerous to name.
Family will receive friends, 10:30- 11:30 Saturday at Lennon-Seney United Methodist Church, 2084 Dandridge; funeral service, 11:30 a.m., Rev. Lee Russell Brown, Officiating.
Interment Sherwood Memorial Park
Family and friends will assemble at 2805 Martin Luther King Jr. and 523 Ben Hur Ave.
