Joyce Curtis
Joyce Curtis, born on January 4th, 1947, owner of Marine Outfitters and former resident of Niota, died on December 5th, 2020 at the age of 73.
Joyce is preceeded in death by her parents, James Howard and Nell Elizabeth Kennedy, Son, Steve Carpenter, Step-Son, Ira Curtis, Sister, Marsha "Liz" Farmer, Brother, James "Junior" Kennedy, and a Nephew, Adam Farmer.
She is survived by Husband, T.I. "Tommy" Curtis Junior, Sister, Virginia and Gary Lubinski, three daughters, Shannon McPhail, Elizabeth and Avery Kelley, and Angela and Hot-Rod Taylor. A son, Byron Farmer, Four grandkids, Jordan McPhail, Jaclyn and Jacob Taylor, and Addison Farmer. The apple of her eye, A Great Pyrenees, Koda-Boy.
Joyce loved her family, friends, and everyone of her customers that turned into her family.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at Kyker Funeral Homes, Sweetwater, from 4:30 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. followed by a celebration of life service at 7:30 P.M. in Kyker's Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Gardner officiating. Interment 10:30 A.M. Wednesday morning in the Foster Cemetery, Niota, TN. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer's Foundation in her name.
