Howe - Gary G. Peppler, age 87, of Cedar Lake, Howe, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 8, 2025, at his residence.

He was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to William George and Delaures (Ables) Peppler. Gary grew up in the northern part of Allen County and graduated from Huntertown High School with the Class of 1956.

Gary spent his career as a print press operator for Moore Business Forms in Angola, Indiana. A passionate sports fan throughout his life, he enjoyed watching and supporting all types of sports-especially when it meant cheering for his grandchildren. He was also an avid coin collector and had a deep appreciation for classic cars. His favorite, without question, was his beloved 1957 Chevy.

He was described by this statement, "Gary and Aunt Doris could sit at the same table for hours and say very few words to each other but enjoy each other's company more than anyone in the room"

On August 31, 1957, Gary married Beverly Jean Lechleidner at Union Chapel Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana. They shared many years together before her passing on August 12, 2001.

Gary is survived by his children: Kathleen Holton of Cedar Lake; Connie (Dale) Beckwith of Cedar Lake; Gordon (Jamie) Peppler of Cedar Lake; and Steve (Lisa) Peppler of Scottsboro, Alabama. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, a sister, and three brothers.

Along with his beloved wife, Beverly, and his parents, Gary was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Jessica Holton and Mattea Holton; four sisters; and one brother.

In accordance with Gary's wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no memorial service. His remains will be laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery beside his wife.
