Matthew Brian Ballard, 30, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2015, in Louisville. He was a native of Bardstown, retired from the United States Marine Corps and of the Catholic faith. He was a big outdoor sportsman.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Charles ""Sonny"" Cambron and paternal grandmother Mary Frances Parrin.
Survivors include his wife, Jami Renee Coulter Ballard; his son, Hunter Ballard; his parents, Richard Dale and Patricia Ann Cambron Ballard, of Bardstown; a sister, Ashley Ballard; a brother, Chris Ballard, both of Bardstown; and his maternal grandmother, Shirley Cambron, of Springfield; three nieces; and two nephews.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with Chaplain Doug Alexander officiating. Burial will be in Holy Rosary-Manton Cemetery.
Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, and after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the funeral home.
Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
