Edythe Fayle Obituary

EDYTHE ELIZABETH FAYLE
In Remembrance
April 25, 1922 - August 3, 2012

"Eadie," as she was known to her friends and family, had a zest for life and for living. She was truly our Energizer Bunny. There were always countless projects in the works and more places to go than there were days on her calendar. She loved her family, both the two-footed members and her four-footed babies. Artistic and talented, she took great pleasure in painting ceramics, creating works of art to be forever cherished by the lucky recipients. She relished working in her gardens, planting and pruning, creating colorful splashes of floral artistry to enjoy year-round. A talented seamstress, she could fashion amazing garments from a few imaginative sketches, her well-used sewing machine, and specially chosen material. She was extremely compassionate, with an especially tender spot in her heart for animals; highest on her list were her beloved elephants, and all members, large and small, of the feline family. It was well-known among the feral cats in her neighborhood that there was always a meal left on Eadie's back patio for them. She loved to play word games and read, was a stickler for detail, keeping voluminous records of every event in her family's life. She took great delight in getting "gussied-up," and was drawn to anything that sparkled. In fact, her Red Hat Sisters bestowed upon her the title of The Damsel of Diamonds which suited her to a "T." She was a beloved wife, a loving mother and grandmother, a thoughtful sister and a loyal and caring friend to so many.

Eadie is remembered today with love by her husband of 51 years, George; her daughters, Judy Roth of Colfax, CA, and Sheri Spatz of Thousand Oaks; her sons, Michael Richards (Karey Shea) of Bakersfield, Richard of Simi Valley, and Ronald (Hillary) of Thousand Oaks; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, her furry babies, Marty and Katie, and feral kitty, Kittie; sister-in-law, Reberta Jean of Camarillo; sisters, Audrey Wilson and Mickey (Boyd) Walls of Sharon, MA; and her many wonderful friends. She is missed so very much, every minute of every day.

What beautiful memories this brings of a beautiful lady. She brought many, many smiles into the lives of all of us who knew her and I have thought of her often during the past months. Can't find your e-mail address Sheri - was wanting to ask about George - if you can give me an update. My best to all the family.
