Conrad Garcia Obituary

Donald was born on January 22, 1941 to Juan and Maria Garcia of San Fernando, California. Donald went home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 9, 2012 peacefully at his home in Sylmar surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Donald lived a blessed and full life in San Fernando as a youth and then in Sylmar as an adult. Donald was married to his love/"Baby" Linda for 35 years. Donald was a great server of Our Lord and Savior, His testimony, life experiences and numerous talks at several facilities located throughout the United States and other Countries touched many people of all ages. Donald's love for the Lord was an awesome one which he shared with his loving wife Linda, his two daughters, Tina and Stella, and his son, Mario.

When Donald wasn't working with Communities in Schools, Prison Ministries or Gang Intervention, he loved spending quality time with his family and friends. Donald enjoyed talking about the Lord, helping out a person in need, or just listening. Donald was a man that always made each person feel important, from any of his family members to a man in prison or a kid in juvenile hall. Donald worked with Communities in Schools changing lives and helping the youth make right choices. Donald wrote a book about his life experiences which has helped and influenced many people. Donald will be truly missed by many.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Maria Garcia; his sister, Mary Lou; and his brother, Joey. He is survived by his wife, Linda; daughters, Tina (Aaron) and Stella (Ted); son, Mario (Angelina)' grandchildren, Donald (Mayra), Pamela (Geo), Salina, Aaron Jr., Jerry, Adam, Arriana and Amber; great grandsons, Geo Jr. and Donovan; siblings, Johnny, Eleanor (Tom), Linda and Molly (Kali); and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family and friends. Donald will always be with us in spirit and never forgotten.

Services are scheduled for Monday, June 18, 2012, 6:00 p.m., at Shepherd of the Hills Church in Porter Ranch. Graveside services Tuesday, June 19, 2012, 10:00 a.m., at the San Fernando Mission Cemetery.
