Constance LaPoint Obituary

Our deeply loved mother, Connie LaPoint, passed peacefully from this life at 4pm, Monday, June 18th at age 89, surrounded by family. She was our center, and although her absence will be felt keenly by all, she will always live on in the hearts and minds of those who love her.

She was a true lady in an age that no longer breeds them and was giving, loving, kind and self-sacrificing. Born and raised in Southern California, Connie lived in La Canada-Flintridge, Escondido, and West Hills. She was a career banker, mostly investment banking, and retired from Bank of America in 2004. She was a passionate gardener all her life, loved horses, raised chickens, rabbits, ducks, dogs, cats and all manner of bird and beast. She loved to camp and traveled all over America and Europe. She loved and was loyal to her friends, and enjoyed their frequent luncheons. We will all miss her tremendously, but are glad to know her suffering is over and that she is with the God she loved. She is survived by her three children -- Pam, Melinda and Richard and their families, which include six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, her ex-husband Don, and three siblings and their families.

There will be a private gathering to celebrate her life on Saturday, June 30th, with family and close friends.
