Neil Snider Obituary
July 31, 1934 - February 7, 2018

Neil was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, to Allie Maude and Wade McKinley Snider. With two older brothers and a younger sister it was a busy household with many activities.

Neil excelled in baseball - being coached by his father, Wade, who had played baseball in Kansas with Dwight Eisenhower. Neil became the All-City Baseball and League Batting Champion in 1952. High School was in Denver at East High School. He went to the University of Colorado, Boulder, graduating with a BS Degree in 1958.

Moving to Los Angeles after college he continued playing Semi-Pro Softball. Received an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Air Force Reserve in 1962. He was employed by several defense companies before going to work at Lockheed Aircraft in 1961, retiring from there in 1996 after 35 years of service as a Contract Negotiator - receiving many awards for cost savings. He represented Lockheed at conventions and job fairs and was mostly involved with development of minority-owned businesses in the Los Angeles area.

Neil is survived by his wife of 54 years, Valerie; son, Collin; daughter, Kana and her husband Keith; his two older brothers, Rodney and James; his beloved "little" sister, Carol; and his two friends, John Thomas and Richard Bobrick, whom he had known for over 60 years. We Will All Miss You!!
