A Celebration of Life
May 23, 1937 - December 14, 2017

Patricia was born in North Leeds, England, to Frederick Smith and Kathleen Walpole Smith. Patricia met John A Halpin Sr., Airman 2nd class, USAF, while he was stationed at Lakenheath Airforce Base in England. They fell deeply in love and were married within months of meeting.

After John was honorably discharged from the USAF they lived in Luton, England, close to Patricia's parents where she could care for her invalid mother. They had five children "the 5 J's". In 1972 they made a decision to move back to John's hometown in California. Making their first home in Sylmar, later moving to Chatsworth, California, where they became business owners and very involved with the Chamber of Commerce.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, sister Jillian Smith Gowin, her beloved husband John Anthony Halpin Sr. and son-in-law David Campbell Sr.

John and Pat were a formidable team. Raising five children, everyday and everything was an adventure. Due to their hard work and entrepreneurial tendencies they started two successful businesses. Chars Inc. and Patricia's Coffee and Tea. This allowed them financial success in their later years having a home they had always dreamed, a place to host their large family for holidays, weddings and birthdays enjoying a fulfilling life together surrounded by their children and grandchildren.

Patricia was honest and hardworking, her English charm endeared her to so many throughout her entire life. She was loved and admired by many.

Patricia is survived by her children, "The five Jays": Jane Kay Halpin Cisneros and husband Manuel Cisneros, Tulare, California, John Halpin Jr. and wife Glenda Green Halpin, Moorpark, California, Janice Halpin Campbell, Las Vegas, Nevada, Jackie Halpin Schulz and husband Gary Schulz, Chatsworth, California, and Joe Halpin Sr. Woodland Hills. California. Also leaving behind 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Patricia never stopped making new friends and those that ever spent time getting to know her loved her for her light hearted sarcasm and quick wit.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to: St Jude's Research Hospital for children (www.stjude.org/give-thanks). Patricia will be interred with her husband in a private ceremony at Oakwood Memorial Park Mausoleum, Chatsworth, California.
