July 12, 1931 - July 14, 2018Robert "Bob" Riley, 87, of Canoga Park, CA passed away from cancer Saturday, July 14th at his home. He was with loved ones as he took his final breath before going home to be with his Savior.A viewing will be held at Kingsley & Gates Praisewater Mortuary, 6909 Canoga Avenue, Canoga Park, CA on July 23, 2018 between the hours of 5 and 8 p.m. The funeral service will take place at St. John Eudes Catholic Church, Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. 9901 Mason Ave., Chatsworth. The burial will immediately follow at Oakwood Memorial Cemetery, 22601 Lassen St., Chatsworth.Robert was born July 12, 1931 in Hazelton, Pennsylvania to Eugene and Anna (Winkler) Riley. After graduating from high school he went on to serve in the United States Air Force before moving to Los Angeles, CA. On July 28, 1956 he married the love of his life, Audrey, and they went on to have three daughters. Robert worked as an executive for the firm Marsh McLennen in the insurance industry before retiring in 1996. He loved his family, spending time with his wife Audrey, his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, traveling, golf and being with his friends.We were blessed to learn many lessons from Bob during his 87 years, but all will agree the most valuable was Bob's generous, loving spirit to all who came across his path. He was loved so much by all who knew him and will continue to be so in our memories, his was a life well lived.Robert is survived by his wife, Audrey; three daughters, Robin Riley and her partner Richard Lancaster of Ojai, Tracy and her husband Brad Thompson of Thousand Oaks, and Denyse Riley of Princeton, CA; two grandchildren, Jude Collin Gleason and his wife Ashley, and Jessica and Edwin Lara; four great grandchildren, Garner and Graham Gleason and Jake and Gracie Lara; along with many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Anna, his brother John and his wife Sally and his sister, Patricia and her husband Tommy.Rest in peace.
