Ruth "Rilla" Wolfle Obituary
November 29, 1925 - July 21, 2108Ruth, a 50 year resident of La Crescenta, CA left us quietly and peacefully to fly with the eagles on July 21, with family at her bedside. Born in San Pedro and raised in Inglewood, CA by her mother, Robina Wallace, and with her two sisters, Alice and Bina. She was the youngest of the three and went on to have the fullest of lives while raising six children and later traveling much of the world. Always fun loving, game, and spontaneous, Ruth was fearless and up for the occasion and if it meant convention took a back seat, so be it. Whether it was sneaking a duck into Descanso Gardens or digging for clams at Seal Beach on a school night, her zest for life was inspiring. Ruth will be remembered for her kindness, generosity and enthusiasm as a person who would so often do for others before her needs were met. For forty four years, she was a loving wife to Arthur Wolfle whom she survived. She is survived by: 6 children– her daughters Renee (Phil) Aved of Napa, Dana (Al) Rooney of Montana, Holly (Philip Baker) Hall, Wende Wolfle and sons Sam Carver and Fred (Debra) Raviol, as well as 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren along with her sister Bina, nieces and nephews, and many friends on Willalee Avenue, a tight knit neighborhood full of people whom she loved. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Samuel, sister Alice, and husband Arthur. Service, to be held at Forest Lawn Glendale Little Church of The FlowersMonday, Aug. 6th at 2:00 PM Please sign the guestbook at legacy.com/obituaries/ladailynews. WL00169350-image-1.jpg
