Marvin E. Kuper

Kuper, Marvin E. 82, a long-time resident of Ingleside, IL passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014. He was born in Chicago, IL on January 29, 1932 to the late George and Beatrice Kuper. He graduated from Grant Community High School in Fox Lake, IL in 1950. Marvin and Joann were married on August 30, 1952 at St. Bede Church in Ingleside, IL. He was employed as a Cadillac Craftsman Mechanic for over 30 years, later retiring to Lake Delton, WI. He was an active member of St. Bede Church and was extremely active in the Knights of Columbus Council #3788 serving fraternally as Grand Knight, Financial Secretary, and many other offices within the Council. He was a member of the Bishops Quarter Assembly Fourth Degree of Lake County serving as Faithful Navigator and District Deputy for the State of Illinois Knights of Columbus District #1. Marvin was a beloved leader, groundbreaker, and mentor for the Knights of Columbus Council #3788. Marvin is survived by his wife of 61 years Joann; six daughters Linda (Wayne) Mortensen, Katherine (Richard) Oliver, Sandra (Michael) Baldwin, Wendy (Robin) Weber, Elaine (Robert) Cayet, and Constance (Dave Talend) Sweeney; grandchildren Bradley (Leslie) Mortensen, Erick (Tammy) Mortensen, Kevin Oliver, Steven Oliver, Ryan Oliver, Aaron Oliver, Allison (Jeremy) Savage, Michelle (Gustavo) Sauceda, Nathan Baldwin, William (Denise) Adams, Amelina (Peter) Yurgaitis, David Weber, Ian (Kristine) Weber, Michael Cayet, Daniel Cayet, Robert Cayet Jr., Analise Cayet, Megan Sweeney, and Kaitlyn Sweeney; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers Kenneth (Patricia) Kuper and Glenn (Nancy) Kuper, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his siblings Constance and Ronald. Visitation will be from 4 8 p.m. on Monday, March 17, 2014 at Ringa Funeral Home, 122 S. Milwaukee Ave. (Rte 83) Lake Villa, IL 60046. Funeral Mass will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at St. Bede Church, 36455 N Wilson Rd. Ingleside, IL 60041 (847) 587-2251. Guests are asked to meet directly at church on Tuesday. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, 22333 W. Erhart Rd, Mundelein, IL 60060.
