Galbraith, Meghan Lee The world lost a talented and beautiful soul when Meghan Lee Galbraith passed away in Waukegan, IL on January 22, 2015 following a long illness. She was 35. Meghan was born in Waukegan and graduated from Waukegan High School in 1997. After graduation she moved to Chicago. Meghan was a passionate musician who loved writing and playing music, especially with her band, 8 Inch Betsy. She was an energetic performer who loved touring the country making friends. She was a generous, loving friend with a quick wit and infectious spirit. Meghan will be deeply missed by her parents, Michael and Diane Galbraith of Waukegan, IL; her sister, Erin Galbraith of Sunnyvale, CA; her partner, Miranda Anderson of Chicago, IL; her uncles, aunts, cousins and many people who loved her and whose lives she touched. A Celebration of Meghan's Life will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at In-Laws Restaurant in Gurnee, IL from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made in Meghan's name to Girls Rock! Chicago.
