My condolences to Wendi's family. Completely numb as I read the news today. Working at Victory Hospital knowing I was going to transfer to ER from floor, Wendi called me monthly saying it's time Paul, time to come work with me in ER. Wendi had the biggest impact in my nursing career, not only feeding me knowledge everyday, but treating every patient like they were a family member. Heaven gained the very definition of what a true Nurse/Caregiver is.

She was a wonderful boss, nurse and friend! We stayed friends after she left Kenosha hospital, my husband did work for her on that beautiful home in lake Geneva for her, my son cut her lawn, and she and I would sit and talk. She was always worried about my health issues when she herself was going through a lot! Wonderful, kind and caring!

I am so sorry to hear of Wendi's passing. She was my boss when we worked at Kenosha Hosp. We became close friends when she had her liver transplants. And in 2009 when we moved to California, we lost touch. But we spent time together on 3 visits when she came out here. She was so proud of her family and was such a professional dedicated nurse. She will be sadly missed. My heart and prayers are with you.
Sincerely, Donna Halpin (Indio, Ca.)

I had the good fortune to have worked with Wendi back when she was a Nursing Assistant in the ER, at Victory Hospital. I watched her grow, professionally and become the director of that ER. To say I'm saddened by her passing would be an understatement. There's a special place in heaven for nurses. It won't be long and she'll be in charge. See you on the next shift, Wendi!
