Ollie Mae Coker Williams Shelton
Ollie Mae was born March 17, 1949 in Lake City, Florida to the late Eugene and Annie Lee Coker. Ollie Shelton passed away peacefully on Monday, February 1, 2021, at UF Health Shands Gainesville, FL. Ollie was employed for many years at the Wayside Restaurant and later was employed with the Columbia County School Food Service Department until her retirement. She was a loyal member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Lake City, Florida. Ollie's hobbies included: sewing, fishing, walking her two dogs, a continuation of cooking delicious meals for others to enjoy, and spending time with her family whom she loved dearly.
Other precedents in death include former husband, Sidney Williams, Sr.; an infant sister; step-daughter, Valerie Williams; brother, Claude Coker; brothers-in-law, Alonzo Campbell and Ed Bradley; mother-in-law, Geneva Stewart; and Edgar Camiel, Jr. Everyone who knew Ollie, knew that she had a heart of gold and would lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Cherished memories are left with: Husband, Willie Shelton; daughters, Sandy Turner Jackson (Charles), Sonia Williams; son, Sidney Williams, Jr.; step-daughter, Janice Williams Rember (Robert Sr.); grandchildren, Ricky, Raheem (Jonette), Ebony, Joshua, Khory, Shanniece, Shellcee, Sheyan, Shayla, Sidney III, Alaiyah, Janet, Ronald, and Robert; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ada Bradley, Edith Tomlin (Charlie), Annie Jean Campbell, Julia Jones, Karen Cray; brothers, Isaiah Coker, Sr., Bobby L. Coker, Venzent "Ben" Coker, Albert Coker (Wanda), Rudolph "Tony" Coker, Arthur "Thang" Coker, Steve (Kayleen); devoted relatives and friends, Maxine Jackson, Sadie and Jake Thomas, Eddie Mae and Charles Jackson, Sr., Minnie Thomas, Janet Jennings; fur babies, Benji and Peewee; hosts of nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services for Ollie Williams Shelton will be 12:00 Noon, Saturday, February 13, 2021, at the Garden of Rest Cemetery. Masks are Mandatory.
Viewing will be one hour prior to the service at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 13, 2021, at the Garden of Rest Cemetery.
