Fricke, Catherine M.
Catherine M. Fricke, age 89, a former Manitowoc resident, died Monday, February 25, 2013 at Water's Edge Care Center, Hayward, Wisconsin.
She was born on June 12, 1923 in Delavan, WI, daughter of the late William and Sibyl (Smith) Gallenberger. On September 3, 1942 she married Roy R. Fricke in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on August 9, 1989. Catherine retired from Lakeside Packing Company after many years of employment.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Gail & Allen Young, Two Rivers, Pamela & Dale Kunstman, Hayward; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Michael & Mary Fricke, Timothy Fricke & his fiancé Lori Bruckner; 15 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Alice & Bob Koob, Pauline Beitzel; two sisters-in-law: Leotta Fischer and Donna Fricke; and special friends: Richard & Yvonne Deering, all of Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: William and Sibyl (Smith) Gallenberger; her husband: Roy R. Fricke; her mother-in-law and father-in-law: Lillian & Reinhart Fricke; a sister: Josephine Horkman; a brother and sister-in-law: Donald & Lois Gallenberger; a sister-in-law: Neoma Allen; and two brothers-in-law: Albert Frischer and Arthur Fricke.
Cremation has occurred and private family services were held. Burial of the cremated remains will occur at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc, at a later date.

We are so sorry to hear the news. I remember going over to Mrs. Fricke's house with my mom (Connie Hoffman) many times and looking at all of the elephants. She was always so nice. You have our sympathy.

Tim and Danny you are in our thoughts and prayers..I only met your mother /Grandma once but I have a feeling she kept an eye on the entire neighborhood! I still have the secret recipe for those dog biscuits ..hand written!! Will make some this week in her memory...they are special that's for sure....

Ma Fricke was both a friend and a mother to our family. We miss her everyday. Richie, Yvonne, and of course Buster.
