Robert R. McBroom

LANCASTER: Robert R. McBroom, age 89, of Lancaster, passed away February 28, 2014 at Fairfield Medical Center.

He was born June 3, 1924 in Fairfield County, Ohio to the late William and Helen (Ricketts) McBroom. Robert was a U.S. Army veteran and served his country during World War II. He was a member of the Maple Street United Methodist Church, Lancaster Masonic Lodge #57, and over 55 years with the Mt. Pleasant Kiwanis Club of Lancaster, including being past president, as well as 50 years perfect attendance. Robert previously owned and operated McBroom HVAC.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Eleanor (Clements) McBroom; son, William (Robin) McBroom of Lancaster; and granddaughter, Danielle (David) Cochran. In addition to his parents, four sisters and one brother preceded him in death.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Maple Street U.M. Church, 438 E.
