Clara Jean Cruit
LANCASTER: Clara Jean Cruit, 84, of Lancaster, passed away on Friday, May 27th , 2016, at Fairfield Medical Center. She was born in Lancaster, Ohio on August 5, 1931, to the late Obe and Daisy Grandstaff Smith.
Clara worked for Ohio Bell, Alten's Foundry, The Hickle Company, and she retired from the Fairfield County Auditor's Office.
Clara dedicated her life to raising her children and was an amazing person who will be greatly missed. She is survived by her children, Beverlee (Lloyd "Andy") Anders, George Cruit, and Jodie (Michael) Martinelli of Perrysburg, Ohio; grandchildren, Joshua Anders, Lyndsay Martinelli, and Michael Martinelli; brother-in-law, Robert Bainter; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Anna McCain, Betty Blosser, and Barbara Bainter; brothers, Lawrence "Abe" Smith, Henry Smith, and Obe Smith; nephews, Robert L. Bainter and Rick Blosser; and niece, Virginia Paulis.
A graveside memorial service will take place at a later date in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster. Caring Cremation has taken place through the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Lancaster.

My wife and I had the privilege of being neighbors with Clara for several years. We had so many wonderful backyard, over-the-fence conversations where she expressed her pride in her children and grandchildren.
She will be missed. Many prayers.

Aunt Clara always worked to make sure her children had what they needed and she loved you all so much. None of us ever grow up enough that we don't miss the love of our mothers.
