Jon B. Turner
LANCASTER: Jon B. Turner, 66, of Lancaster, died unexpectedly Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born June 1, 1950 in Lancaster the son of Raymond B. and Emily W. (Proffitt) Turner. Jon was a 1968 graduate of Fairfield Union High School, attended Miami University and completed his bachelor's degree at Otterbein University in 1972. Jon had worked at OSU Medical Center where he was the Associate Director of Materials Management and then served as an executive vice president at Westerman Company.
Jon is survived by his wife, Judy (Freeland) Turner, whom he married July 1, 1972; son, J.W. Turner; his father, Raymond; brother, Kim (Melanee) Turner; his Freeland sibing-in-laws, Linda (George) Shreyer, Susan (Frank) Shetrone, Jill (John) Metzger, Tom (Stephanie) Freeland and Tim (Debbie) Freeland; nephews, Corey (Jana) and Craig (Tiffany) Turner; great nephew and niece, Colton and Quinn Turner; and numerous Freeland nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Emily; his father and mother-in-law, Phil and Jean Freeland; and brother-in-law, P.K. Freeland.
Per Jon's request he is being cremated and there will be no services. Contributions may be made in Jon's memory to the William D. Queen Scholarship Fund, Fairfield County Foundation, 162 East Main Street, Lancaster, Ohio 43130. Online condolences at www.morganfuneralhomeohio.com
