Anita Minter


Anita Begneaud Cannon Minter, 90, of Titusville, Florida, died Wednesday, April 15, 2015.
Anita grew up in Hodgenville, at the home of her grandparents, Ida and Joe Williams. She graduated from Hodgenville High School, Christian College for Women (Columbia College) and completed her studies at Southwestern at Memphis College (Rhodes College). She was a social worker for the state of Florida.
She was married to Dudley Cannon of Memphis, Tennessee, and George Minter of Richmond, Virginia.
Anita was preceded in death by her father, Aris Begneaud of Lafayette, Louisiana, and her mother, Ruby Williams, of Louisville; a sister, Catherine "Kitty" Begneaud Hummer of Hodgenville; and her first cousin, Robert Thurman "Bobby" Williams of Hodgenville.
She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Cannon Sawey of Dallas, Texas; and a son, Dudley Cannon Jr. (Diane) of Titusville, Florida; and four grandchildren, Laura, Courtney, Christopher and Theresa.
There was no public visitation. Burial was at Red Hill Cemetery.
William R. Rust Funeral Home, Hodgenville Chapel, 612 N. Lincoln Blvd., Hodgenville, was in charge of arrangements.
