Reverend Melvin Russell Thompson, 75, of Hodgenville died Wednesday, January 6, 2016.
He was an Army Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Clora Warren Thompson.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Doris Jean Dye Thompson; a daughter, Penny Annette (Glen) Viers of Hodgenville and a son, Melvin Darryl Thompson of Perryville.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 9 at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Separate Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 8 and after 10 a.m on Saturday, January 9 at the funeral home
