Milburn "Sawdust" Childress, 79, of Hodgenville, formerly of Mt. Sherman, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015, at the University of Louisville Hospital.
He was a member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and he was a retired Garage Foreman for the Kentucky State Highway Department.
Milburn "Sawdust" was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma "Pat" Skaggs Childress in 1984; his parents, Justice and Ida Ford Childress; a great-grandson, Waylon Lucas; and a step-brother, Frank Childress.
He is survived by three daughters, Karen (Kevin) Meredith of Hodgenville, Sharon Fulkerson and Jill (Gary) Valentine all of Elizabethtown; two sons, Philip (LaDona) Childress and Paul (Wendy) Childress all of Hodgenville; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 27 at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Reverend Shannon McCubbins officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Moriah Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Ocotber 26 and after 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 27 at the funeral home.
