Paul Matthew "Sar" Miller, 66, of New Haven, passed away Monday, Jan. 13, 2015, at his residence.
He was born April 11, 1948, in New Hope. He was the son of the late Grover Cleveland "Fuzz" II and Benita Nevitt Miller.
He was a member of Saint Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in New Haven. Formerly employed at Nukote for 23 years, he retired from American Greetings after five years of service. He a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Mary Ethel Miller, Martha Lucille Brown and Alice Virginia (Pud) Spalding; and two brothers, Ronnie Miller and Joseph Carroll Miller.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Ann Woolridge Miller of Lyons Station; a son, Todd Miller of Lyons Station; a daughter, Paula Underwood of Lyons Station; two grandsons, Seth Miller and Matthew "Matt" Underwood, both of Lyons Station; two great-granddaughters, Kylie and Khloe Miller; a sister, Benita K. "Kay" (Billy) Greenwell of Lyons Station; six brothers, Charles K. "Butch" (Carrie) Miller of Louisville, Samuel L. "Sam" Miller of Bardstown, Donald "Jomet" (Jean) Miller of Elizabethtown, Grover Cleveland "Bo" III (Donna) Miller of Culvertown, Frances E. "Dean" Miller of Howardstown and Ted (Rosemary) Miller of Louisville; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Mass of Christian burial for Paul Matthew "Sar" Miller is at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, at Saint Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in New Haven with the Rev. Troy Overton officiating. Burial follows in Saint Vincent DePaul Catholic Church Cemetery in New Hope with full military honors.
Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday Jan. 15, and continues after 8 a.m. Friday, Jan. 16, at William R. Rust Funeral Home 167 N. Main St., New Haven. Prayers will be at 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, at the funeral home.
