Esther Lucero, 63, was born July 10, 1955. Lucero, a resident of Gonzales Ranch, N.M., went home with our Heavenly Father peacefully surrounded by her family on Jan. 7, 2019.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ernesto Lucero Sr., her children, Tanya and Ray Arrellin, Dora Lucero and Ernest Lucero Jr.; her grandchildren, Amalia and Josh Hernandez, Julie and Jason Tapia, Angelica Perez and Lucas Arrellin; her great-grandson, Ezra Tapia and new baby Tapia; her mother, Margaret Velasquez; brother Tony and Velasquez (Theresa), sisters Dolores Velasquez, Christine Juarez and Yvonne Cordova (John); father-in-law Seledon Lopez and numerous brothers- and sisters- in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her father, Tony Velasquez Sr.; brother Joe Velasquez, father Martin Lucero (Sally), Priscilla Lopez and Dora Lopez.
Esther has five stepping stones to heaven: Louie Lopez, Michelle Velasquez, Pete Juarez, Nakia and Jay Crespin, and Merisha Padilla-Lopez.
Esther had a love of all animals, especially her dogs, cats, hummingbirds, chickens, cows and horses.
We will celebrate her life from March 22 to 24, 2019, at Gonzales Ranch.
