April 17, 1916 - August 7, 2016 Barbara Lerner Barrett, 100, passed away of natural causes on August 7, 2016, at her home in Beverly Hills. Born in New York, she moved to California in 1936. Barbara was involved with many charitable organizations throughout her life including United Hostesses Charities and ORT, volunteered at Cedars Sinai Hospital, and enjoyed reading to the visually impaired. Barbara was the loving mother of Virginia Hirsh Clements and attentive grandmother to Laurie Barrett Biros, Julie Parker, Mandy Brooks, Kevin Hirsh and Brian Hirsh, great-grandmother of eight, and was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Richard C. Barrett, Sr., and her son, Richard C. Barrett, Jr. Barbara will be laid to rest at Hillside Memorial Park; no services are planned. We will always carry your memory in our hearts and thank you for all you've shared and accomplished in your 100 years.
