Ari, I am so sorry to hear about your father. Having lost my own, I know it's a devastating loss. A couple of things I learned -- 1) there are no rules for mourning; everybody does it their own way, so don't let anybody tell you how to feel or when you should "get over it. 2) You're engulfed in sorrow now. If you feel moved to, talk about your father and ask his friends about him. What you share and learn may help you. 3) Don't feel guilty if you are still able to laugh. I laughed a lot sitting shiva for my mother, because people she knew told so many funny stories about her. 4) I promise you that someday, on your own clock, when you think of your dad, you will remember the good times you had together. You will never not miss him, but the good, loving memories will be the ones you remember the most. Please extend my sincerest wishes of comfort to your family in this time of pain.

Hi This is cousin Michael Bienenstock in Houston soon to be in Florida. I am so sorry to hear about your dad. He and my dad were pretty close and once worked together in s shoe store. Your dad took my Bar Mitzvah pictures and was full of life. I always enjoyed the time I spend with him. My prayers are with you and your sister and mom.
