Dorothy Miller

Miller, Dorothy Pagen
1922 - 2013
Dorothy Pagen Miller passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday morning with family at her side. She was a lifelong resident of Los Angeles and was blessed by her 63 year marriage to Wendell S. Miller. They had 3 sons together; Roland, Bill and Roger. Throughout her family life and career in academia she touched countless lives, all with a passion for service, optimism and love. After years of service to the Chancellor's Office she retired as an Acting Dean of Faculty and Staff Affairs for California State University System. She is survived by her husband, grown children Bill and Roger, their wives Valerie and Ellen. Her grandchildren are now young adults living across the country and around the world. She is preceded in passing by her parents, Roland and Minnie; her brother, William; and her son Roland. Through her life she enjoyed tennis, fencing, golf, bowling, hiking and cross country skiing. At home her passions were family, gardening, reading and writing, including an unpublished work on Dame Shirley - "A Most Determined Lady". In lieu of flowers a contribution to UCLA, Department of History would be her wish.
Services will be at Forest Lawn - Glendale.
