Kimi Fukumoto passed away peacefully on October 23, 2016 at the age of 72, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. A retired teacher from the Los Angeles Unified School District, she was a longtime resident of Monterey Park. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Kiyo; daughter, Carrie; son, Ty; and grandchildren, Kase, Hailey, and Connor. Funeral services will be held at the Rose Hills Memorial Chapel in Whittier on November 12, 2016 at 1:00 p.m., with burial services immediately following.
