Sunny Erbstein (Sarah) GLASSER

GLASSER, Sunny (Sarah) Erbstein Passed away Mar. 23, 2013 (Born Sonia - Feb. 14, 1913 Suwalki, Russia) five weeks past her 100th birthday. She is survived by sons Bernard (Susan), Martin (Shelly) and Richard (Deborah). Grandchildren Steven (Suslyn), Laurence (Deborah), Gabrielle (Ramon), Ken (Cynthia), Lynn (Michael), Stacey and Tim plus eight great-grandchildren. Alumnus of Brooklyn College, taught years at Frances Scott Key junior high school in Bedford Stuyvesant. Sunny always remembered those dear to her with cards on their birthdays and anniversaries. She volunteered at UCLA for many years and researched the History of Foods for a book she planned to write. Her sunny disposition made her loved by all who knew her. Married for 42 years to Daniel and devoted to him years after his death in 1979. She was a caring and devoted family member survived by sister Eleanor. Preceded in death by Daniel and siblings Lillian and Sidney and parents Max and Rebecca. Escaped the forces of the Czar on the original Noordam in 1917. Devoted wife, mother, teacher and a very special and strong woman.
