Barry K. Rothman

June 12, 1942 - March 9, 2018 Barry Rothman, 75, passed away suddenly on March 9, 2018. Barry was born in New York City, 10 minutes before his twin brother Jay Rothman. Barry grew up in NYC and migrated to Los Angeles with his family in 1957. He graduated from Reseda High School, and then attended UCLA where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 1965. He attended Southwestern University School of Law, and graduated with a JD in 1969. Barry passed the California bar in 1970 and began to actively practice law until he passed. He started his legal career working for Warner Brother's Records, and then started his own law firm, specializing in Entertainment law, representing many celebrities over the decades. He practiced law for 48 years. Barry was a profoundly skilled lawyer who was recognized as such by his peers. He is remembered for his ferocious advocacy, sharp wit, and hilarious sense of humor. He is survived by his son Joshua, his twin brother Jay, and his long-term companion Alina Yalanska. Services will be held at Forest Lawn Mortuary, in Cathedral City, California, where his parents were laid to rest, on Sunday, March 25, 2018, at 12pm.
