Adele Rosalind Mortin Obituary
December 18, 1926 - April 16, 2017 Adele Mortin, a longtime resident of Culver City, died Sunday the 16th of April at Marina Del Rey Hospital. Adele was born in 1926 in Toronto, Canada, and attended the University of Toronto, before moving to the United States with her husband Irving. After raising three sons, Adele received a Master's degree in Special Education from Pepperdine University. Adele held numerous teaching positions within special education at several grade schools in the greater Los Angeles area, culminating in working as a teacher in the Culver City public school district, where she worked until her retirement. Adele loved folk music, folk dancing, reading and socializing. She enjoyed going to movies and plays with friends, and was always there for her friends and family. She is survived by her brother, Marty Kravitz, and her sister, Lucy Goodman, both of Toronto, Canada, as well as her three sons, Mark of Ashton, Maryland, Richard of Mountain View, California, and Larry from Framingham, Massachusetts, and grandsons Sam from Annapolis, Maryland and Ian and Josh from Framingham.
