Andrew Benjamin Brent Obituary
March 12, 1975 - April 6, 2017 On April 6, Andrew peacefully slipped the bonds of his body to soar the skies of warm and fair Southern California. Born on a cold, drizzly day in Spokane, Washington, Andrew began his journey to influence. Andrew was joined by his sibling sister, Sarah on July 4, 1977, having moved with his parents to Bel Marin Keys, Ca., earlier that same year. By the time Andrew reached 7 years of age, he had moved once again, this time to San Diego, Ca. Andrew was joined by his new sister, Kirah. Together, as a family, they all grew together in the same house. In Mid-1998, Andrew's parents, Sharon and Richard, along with the youngest of the three, Kirah, departed to live and work in Washington, DC. For almost 8 years ahead, Andrew was without his parents, and yet he thrived. With the top quality surrounded by a loving caregiver network of people, along with the watchful eye and hand of his older sister, Andrew sustained life and was an active visitor to many of the San Diego sights such as the zoo and Cabrillo Point. By 2010, Andrew's parents returned back to the West Coast, settling in Woodland Hills. This also began a 3-year effort to find a suitable house, remodel it for his special needs, and bring him up from San Diego. With his own suite, Andrew moved into a home that accommodated his needs, and those of his sister and her family, Greg and Zoe. The day of moving in, Sarah went into labor, and with a new home, Andrew got a new nephew, Mason. For the next five years, Andrew and the Epstein family enjoyed relative quiet. Andrew, however had begun to change. Andrew's body is cold and lifeless. Andrew's smile and spirit remains with us now. Andrew is survived by his parents, Sharon and Richard, sisters Sarah (Greg Epstein) and Kirah Brent. Andrew's grandmothers survive him, while he was preceded in passing by his grandfathers. Andrew leaves 9 aunts and uncles, 11 cousins, and niece Zoe and nephew Mason. Andrew's Spirit soars high and with its shining light, brightens the lives of all who knew of him.
