Anne Mattocks Strieber Obituary
August 25, 1946 - August 11, 2015 Anne Mattocks Strieber of San Antonio, Texas and Santa Monica, CA, passed away in Santa Monica on August 11, after a long illness. Anne was a novelist and editor. She published three novels, "The Cave," writing as Anne Matthews, "The Invisible Woman" and her favorite, "Little Town Lies" under her own name. She also founded the science website Unknowncountry.com, now one of the largest of its kind in the world. She is survived by her husband, author Whitley Strieber and her son Andrew and his family. Services for Anne in San Antonio and Santa Monica will be private. Anne gave to many charities. Her favorites were the Soi Dog Foundation in Thailand and the Mercy Corps here in the US. Please make a donation to a in Anne's memory, in lieu of sending flowers.
