Obituary Condolences

Anthony D. Greenberg (Tony) died unexpectedly Sunday following an emergency surgery. He turned 68 the day before. Tony was a third generation Los Angeleno, who loved the canyons and the beach. He loved his daily walks at the beach. Tony served in the National Guard where he was trained as a medic. He was an astute businessman and was the President of Joel's, a chain of women's clothing stores his father started in 1953. After the business was sold he went on to skillfully manage his family's real estate. Tony was devoted to his parents and his siblings. He had a generous spirit and adored children. He was a wonderful loving and thoughtful brother, uncle and godfather. He loved to surprise his loved ones with generous gifts. He was passionate about cars. He had the pleasure of owning and driving some of the world's most beautiful exotic cars and hot rods. His favorite marque by far was Ferrari. Tony is survived by his brother, Jeffrey; sister, Roberta (Murray Zucker); sister, Janet (Alan Kupchick); and nephew, David Zucker. Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday at Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery.
