Anthony DiNovi Obituary
August 13, 1947 - February 7, 2018 Anthony passed away in the early hours of February 7, 2018, by natural causes, peacefully in his sleep. He was 70. He is survived by his wife Lucy, son De, older sister MaryAnn Hermansen and older brother Victor DiNovi. Anthony was born in Brooklyn and lived his early years in New York and NewJersey. He was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the military from 1967-1969. This experience formed his worldview and informed his lifelong progressive activism. He joined with his wife Lucy Chamberlain in Los Angeles in 1991, and their son De Chamberlain DiNovi blessed their life in 2008. Anthony was a great, warm loving, husband to Lucy and he loved being De's dad. Boy did he love being De's dad. He was fun, always laughing with friends and sharing all that he had. Anthony was a great artistic talent and was passionate about so many things in his life. About acting and teaching acting. About music, playing his saxophone with friends. About the painting, his father was a painter and he was a painter. And about writing, always pushing to complete his book about his profound experiences as a US Army soldier in Viet Nam. He lived life to its fullest as a true artist of the highest order and it was always, one day at a time. Anthony was loved deeply by all of us. His glow has been left in each of our hearts. He will be missed and remembered often.
